Torpoint Community Church (TCC) was formed as a church plant of Grace Community Church, Morval (GCC) in Jan, 2006. This was in response to the long-standing commitment and desire of GCC members living in and around Torpoint to reach out to the community by holding their own local church services.

The first Pastor of TCC was appointed eight months later. He now heads up a leadership team of six, who have leadership responsibility for the church until the constitution is completed and elections can be held by church members. At that time TCC will become fully independent of GCC, though the close relationship will always be there, because of the connections between the two churches, as in a family. That family has recently grown, as a third church plant from Grace church has been founded at Bodmin (2008).
